Okay, you’ll note a number of substitutions today, so I’ll run through those quickly.

My preferred off-hand for this set is  Vendor - Honor Points Primal Combatant’s Endgame, which, unfortunately, falls victim to Blizzard’s habitual tendency to make Alliance PVP gear blue and Horde gear red. That means Horde players interested in this set are stuck using something else. My suggestion is the Vendor - Gold Star-Heart Lamp; a fine alternative, but an admittedly different model.

Wrath of the Lich King Raid Drop - Boss Loot or Raid Trash Drop Relentless Gladiator’s Cord of Salvation, which I’ve provided as an alternative, is also a different model. But wait, Liz,  Burning Crusade Raid Drop - Boss Loot or Raid Trash Drop Nethershard Girdle doesn’t have any user restrictions! So why is  Wrath of the Lich King Raid Drop - Boss Loot or Raid Trash Drop Relentless Gladiator’s Cord of Salvation even there?

Because Burning Crusade Raid Drop - Boss Loot or Raid Trash Drop Nethershard Girdle doesn’t quite match the rest of the set and it was bugging the heck out of me, that’s why.

My recommendation is to check out both belts on Wowhead and select the look that you prefer.

Oh, and Happy New Year, everybody! If you haven’t run Molten Core yet, your time is running out. Get on it!

Building a cloth transmog set that doesn’t lean heavily on robes can be tough. There are a number of reasons for this, the first among them that, until recently, cloth pants came in one of two flavours — dishwater dull and eye-scorchingly horrific.

Cloth Transmog - Lifegiver Britches - Hideous

Fashion.

When you think about it, lazily reusing textures intended for skirts and robes makes a lot of sense. I mean, the results are almost universally hideous, but cloth-wearers wear robes, right? Who’s even going to see them?

The answer is me. I am going to see them. I am going to see them and despair, because in this glorious age of transmog there are some beautiful cloth shirts out there and very little to pair them with.

So needless to say, when I find a pair of pants I actually like, it’s Christmas in July. Or, in this case, November. Late November. Whatever.

What I’m trying to say is in a world whereVendor - Gold Lifegiver Britches in all of their transcendent hideousness exists, I’m glad to find a gem like  Vendor - Gold Pontiff’s Pantaloons of Prophecy in the Burning Crusade back catalogue.

Cloth TransmogSure, they’re a little hokey, but the swirling blue motif is a little skiing in the Alps, you know, a little Nordic snowflake sweater, for me. But that’s appropriate attire for the winter season, right?

So, all you mages, warlocks, and priests out their, slogging your way through Frostfire Ridge, give this transmog a try. Sure, it won’t stop you from freezing to death, but at least you’ll look good doing it.

Cloth Transmog: Cat Lover’s Vest

Cloth Transmog - Cat Lover's Vest - Female Goblin

Let’s not talk about the fact that earning this shirt requires you to slaughter many, many cats.

Okay, so I was bored one day and typed “cat” into the Wowhead search box because, well, cats, and the  Quest Reward Cat Lover’s Vest popped up. I freaked out, obviously, because cats, and built a cloth transmog set around it. This has been a true story of transmogrification inspiration by me.

And yeah, the Cloudscorcher Handwraps are a little complicated, though are probably pretty ubiquitous to any player who’s spent any time on the Timeless Isle. Timeless Isle mobs and treasure chests drop the Bind-on-Account Timeless Cloth Gloves; using the gloves creates a Cloudscorcher Handwraps appropriate for your loot specialization.

And while we’re at it, if you’re unable to find World Drop - Includes Zone-Specific Drops Auction House - Click Here For Undermine Journal Aurora Pants on your Auction House, there are low-level lookalikes available as quest rewards for both factions. Wowhead has the details.

Okay, I know I’ve been complaining about the preponderance of nuclear waste green in warlock gear, but I still think this is pretty spectacular. The  Wrath of the Lich King Raid Drop - Boss Loot or Raid Trash Drop Heroes` Plagueheart Shoulderpads are as gorgeous a set of shoulders as I’ve seen and the  Quest Reward Witch Doctor`s Beads (horde only — sorry, blue team) have the added benefit of being revealing on either gender. You know, if that’s important to you.

As it is to me.

Um.

This started off as a sexy red priest transmog and somehow turned into “What Would Melisandre from Game of Thrones Wear While Lighting People On Fire.” Hence the red-hot pokers because, well, are we surprised?

Okay, and yeah, I don’t have an indicator for Sporeling’s Firestick. It’s a rep item that can be purchased from Sporeggar using tiny mushrooms, so keep an eye out for that.
